Teen Pilates at Bodywise Pilates has been an established favourite for some time. Group classes to help build confidence, improve posture and develop core strength and body awareness. The classes have between 4 to 8 girls (although we would love to have some boys along as well), and they learn the basics of Pilates on the Mat and using the Pilates Reformer. Classes are fun, interactive and educational. But let the girls tell you what they think of Pilates at Bodywise.
We asked two of our Teen participants, Ella and Abby, what they thought of Pilates and their time with us. Here’s what they had to say:
How long have you been doing Pilates?
E - I have done Pilates twice now.
A - I have been doing Pilates for around 3 years.
Why did you choose Pilates?
E- I chose Pilates because it helps strengthen my muscles.
A - I chose Pilates because it is a good balance of strength and flexibility.
What is the one thing you enjoy the most about doing Pilates?
E - I enjoy using all the equipment in different ways to achieve different results.
A - I enjoy using all the different equipment, how there are so many different things you can do and the ways to work with your body.
What other activities do you do?
E - I do water polo, swimming and music.
A - I do a lot of dancing and performing arts.
Would you recommend Pilates to your friends?
E - I would and do recommend Pilates to my friends.
A - I would and already do recommend Pilates to my friends, because it is really good for your body and mind and it's also really fun!
What does Pilates do for you?
E - Pilates helps me strengthen my core (for water polo) and stretch my muscles.
A - Pilates helps me with my posture, strength, flexibility, coordination and balance and it's something I look forward to every week!
