Bodywise Pilates team leader is Jenny Green. In 2002 Jenny started using some Pilates exercises to help manage her sacro-iliac pain from years of aerobics, paddling and running that stretching and yoga had failed to relieve. Seeing the immediate results from practicing Pilates Jenny wanted to share the benefits with others and that is when Bodywise Pilates was created.

Jenny Green

Certified by the Pilates Institute UK and Stott Pilates (Canada), Jenny has more than 20 years of experience in the fitness industry both in New Zealand and in the UK. She holds a BBS in Sport Management and Coaching from Massey, is an AIT and Network Certified Personal Trainer, and is an established member of Bodywise personal fitness trainers. She regulary attends trainings and workshops to keep up with the latest Pilates has to offer.

Ginnene Harvey-Lovell

Ginnene was first introduced to the Pilates Technique when she was studying for her dance degree at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. After graduating with a BA (Hons), she continued her interest in Pilates as a teacher of Dance and Choreography and is certified with the Pilates Institute UK and the Pilates Institute of Australasia. She is passionate about Pilates, with a special interest in women's health, she is a mother of two - she particularly enjoys working with pre and post natal clients. That's not to say she's sexist, though - she's also made Pilates for Blokes a big success.

Katie Quirke

Katie is a trained dancer and dance teacher and has spent 7 years working in dance schools and education in London. She got a taste for Pilates when she joined a class at her local gym and was inspired to teach it herself, she completed the Advanced Mat certification with Future Fit Pilates UK, before returning to NZ. As a dancer Katie enjoys the wide range of pilates exercises both for flexibiity and mobillity and also for their effect in toning and strengthening her core area. She has a Bachalor of Arts Honours Degree in Dance Education with the Royal Academy of Dance and continues to up skill her Pilates training her in New Zealand.

Liz Brookes

Liz shares over 20 years of mind-body movement practices with all her clients. She is a trained BASI (Body Arts & Science Institute) Comprehensive Apparatus Pilates Instructor, has a Diploma in Slings Myofascial Training™ (Art of Motion), a trained Shin Somatics® Yoga Teacher and has many other related certifications. She regularly attends with great passion various ongoing continuing education workshops in Pilates, Yoga and other movement methods. Liz comes from a creative and dance background and after living with breathing disorders, a chronic spinal injury and work stresses she discovered Pilates as an alternative method of rehabilitation, mind & body awareness and conditioning. She loves the way Pilates educates the body to think for itself and become an 'inner teacher' bringing calm, enjoyment and physical well-being to all aspects of life.

Asho Gevorgyan

Practicing meditation and movement therapy has been a 25 year commitment for Asho. She has always had a passion for dance and a foundation in design and architecture, but with shoulder, knee and back injuries she was able to use Pilates and Yoga and Chi-Kung to heal herself. In 2004 she completed her formal training with Edna Levy Katz and feeling so inspired became an instructor immediately. Her work and practice consist of Pilates Yoga and Chi-Kung and is fuelled by a fascination to explore how movement effects our well being.

Alicia Mitchell

Alicia is a Polestar and Stott Pilates trained instructor and is a graduate from The New Zealand School of Dance, Wellington, majoring in contemporary and classical dance. After graduating from The NZSD and completing tertiary training Alicia has performed, travelled throughout Australia, United Kingdom and New Zealand. Alicia is still involved in teaching dance, adjudicating and tutoring seminars nationally, choreographing and teaching solo works for competitions. Alicia is passionate about Pilates with benefits gained over 13 years, strength and flexibility have helped her as a professional dancer. Pilates has helped maintain a fit, flexible and strong body and she hopes to inspire, motivate, provide an enjoyable and challenging workout with an emphasis on correct alignment, posture and technique and most of all encourage you to be as passionate about Pilates as she is.

Gaby Sanchez

Gaby was born in Argentina and has studied Classical and Contemporary dance to be a teacher. She graduated in Buenos Aires as a Physical Education teacher specialising in health pathology. Over the last 10 years, she has taught classes for all ages and levels at various studios, with a background in Latin Rhythms, Contemporary, Latin Hip Hop, Tango and Brazilian dances. She loves to dance and takes classes at every chance she gets. "No matter how old you are or how much experience you have, you can always learn more".

Rose Bridge

Rose is qualified to teach beginner, intermediate and advanced mat and reformer Pilates exercises and is also a Total BarreTM Qualified Instructor through Stott Pilates. After a decade of practicing Mat and Reformer Pilates on a casual basis Rose trained to become an Instructor not only as a lifestyle choice but also because she enjoys helping other people achieve their fitness goals. Rose has always been passionate about Pilates but her commitment to it developed even more after having children and experiencing the benefits of improved core stability, joint flexibility, and muscle strength and control. Her favourite exercises involve working the Gluteals!

Nicollette Van Den Bergh

Nicollette is a trained BASI (Body Arts & Science Institute) Mat Pilates teacher and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Movement Science which she completed at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Since she can remember, she has always enjoyed being active and pushing herself to her limits. Being introduced to Pilates provided her with the opportunity to do that on a whole different level and her dream when coming to New Zealand is to help people improve their quality of life and to make them look and feel great! She feels Pilates is a great way to maintain a well-rounded combination of flexibility, strength and fitness, which she feels any person should aim for when it comes to taking care of their bodies. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and excitement with potential clients as she moves forward in this direction.

Jess Crompton

Jess was first introduced to Pilates straight out of high school and instantly took great interest in the body and how and why we move in all the different ways that we do. Her passion lies in contemporary dance, and while teaching, she is currently also completing a bachelor of creative arts majoring in performing arts at Manukau Institute Of Technology. Jess does Pilates because it gives her the tools, mentally and physique to become a better dancer. She is passionate about teaching and helping others better understand their own bodies.

Fernanda Rosa

Fernanda has trained in Reformer, Studio and Mat pilates by Stott Pilates, a worldwide regarded Canadian institution. After graduating in Physical Education and doing a Postgraduate course in Physical Conditioning for Special Groups. Fernanda managed her own Pilates Studio in Brazil before coming to New Zealand. She is passionate about Pilates methodology and the benefits reached by practitioners by the correct execution of exercises. In addition, she has a long experience competing and teaching swimming classes and working as a personal trainer. In order to keep updated in the area, Fernanda often attends pilates courses and workshops.

Carita de Jong

South-African born Carita first discovered Pilates while recovering from a dance injury in her teens. But since then, movement, health and wellness has become much more than just recovering from symptoms. She has been teaching Pilates on Auckland's North Shore for 4 years and is also studying full-time to become a Chiropractor. Carita is passionate about the human body and how making small changes can help every single person express their full and unique potential.

Rosa Easton

Rosa is a Westie, from Bethels Beach, and went to school at Avondale College.  She loves to teach and taught English as a foreign language in Brazil, having received a scholarship to Espirito Santos University. Health is very important to Rosa, she has done pre-med and studied Biology at Auckland University but left to pursue more holistic approaches to Health. Rosa worked for Huckleberry, setting up their Organic and Wholefood stores on the North Shore.  She is also a 'Hula Dancing' teacher, specialising in the Tahitian and Cook Island dances. Great for getting you fit! Rosa came to Pilates through her yoga training and loves the holistic benefits that it offers, achieving health through mindful movement.  She has recently completed her Stott Pilates Mat training and Reformer training with Studio Pilates, and is looking forward to meeting you.
